Our 2021 Rosé epitomizes “Summer in a Bottle”. It features wonderful Pomello and powdered sugar notes on the nose and strawberries on the palate. The framework is lithe, brightly acidic (pH 3.18), low alcohol (13.2%) and frankly mouthwateringly delicious. We’re questioning our own sanity for not hoarding it all for our personal cellar!
Winemaker’s Production Note: The Rosé was produced using the method known as saigneé, or bleeding the must. In this technique the clear, newly crushed grape juice is removed from the fermenter after about 10 minutes. In this time it acquires only the rosé color from the skins. The juice is then barrel fermented, malolactic fermentation is blocked, the wine settled, racked, blended and bottled five months after vintage.
